Friends.....I hope you are having an awesome start to summer because today I have x2 cards that will definitely get you into the summer mood. Using the BRAND new SUNNY DAYS die & stamp set, from Queen & Company , I created these two fun cards.
I decided I'd show you ideas for a 'female' & a 'male' suitable card using the same set.
Ok...so when you think of the beach, you think of:
+ sand
+ flip flops
+ beach towel
..............................right??
My sweet girlie 'flip flops' are sitting on a 'hot pink towel' on the 'sand'. The towel was a brain-wave born out of mopping up an ink spill with paper towel. Whoever dreamt up that stuff is a genius...it is so absorbent & once dry doesn't lose it's color intensity either. Snipping the edges to resemble a real towel was the clincher. HA! I love our hobby!
Pretty in yellow & hot pink, & filled with NEW Jewels fillers & Tiny Bubbles fillers, the right shaker flip flop really pops out. Small layered flowers with their bling centres were just what I needed to complete the tropical vibe. To finished the card, I tied turquoise paper twine at the top, stamped a sentiment from the set & a few bling bits.
A cute, sassy card ready to give away! Yeah!
My next project is perfect for a man in your life :) Again using the BRAND new SUNNY DAYS die & stamp set, I created this Thank You card!
A craft-cardstock-deserted-island, in the middle of a patterned paper ocean at sun set, complete with palm trees & bling coconuts...cool right?!
By including both a flat tree & a shaker tree and raising sections of the islands with adhesive foam, I was able to give the sense of dimension.
Paper twine & a stamped sentiment from the set is all that was needed to finish it off nicely.
Ta-daaaa! A great male themed, 'Thank You' card in a jiffy!
